Automate the science. Then automate the automation.
I’m a postdoctoral scholar in Computer Science at the University of Chicago, working with Ian Foster and Kyle Chard in Globus Labs. My work spans agentic science, agentic engineering and autonomic infrastructure: agents that run jobs on supercomputers, keep their own documentation honest, and earn trust through reputation and provenance. Most of what we do in research can be automated, and I think it should be.
